This year hasn’t been good for English soccer. While the World Cup is about to end, breaking news is coming from the UK. Prime Minister Rishi Sunak might be bringing changes to English soccer and it might restructure the Premier League. According to the reports, PM has already signed off on the introduction of a regulator. Only a few weeks ago, the Premier League dogged a bullet against the threat of a regulator on their head.

The league will go through the biggest revolution in its history. The previous government denied the idea of having a regulator, although teams’ celebrations were cut short after the government changed.

According to the reports, the government will be introducing reforms by the first weeks of January and they are aiming to make these laws by 2024. The regulator will have staff to oversee the disputable issues.

These laws, if set, will introduce the regulator to the scene, which will have the power to hand sanctions to the clubs if they break any rules of the League. The government is trying to around any financial crisis in the League and that’s why they are now trying to regulate it.
