A WALRUS nicknamed Thor has made a UK beach its home — but locals have been warned to stay away from it.
The blubbery beast was found yesterday morning.
Footage posted on social media showed the two-ton tusked sea monster lounging about after hauling itself onto the shingle.
But the coastguard has since set up a cordon on Calshot beach, Hants, to prevent visitors from disrupting Thor’s rest.
And the British Divers Marine Life Rescue said he should have “no disturbance” as approaching could cause him distress.
Spokesman Dan Jarvis added: “Repeated visitors are going to prevent the animal from conserving its energy and making its next journey.
"The more people that can leave it alone, the better chance it has of surviving.”
Thor is known to have also visited the Netherlands and France in recent weeks.
Walruses, which can grow to four metres long and live for 40 years, mostly live in Arctic Circle, although several have been spotted in Europe in recent years.
