Top HBCUs.

Tuskegee, Ala. — Tuskegee University has been ranked No. 3 among the 2022-2023 nation’s best Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) by U.S. News & World Report. The university also improved its ranking among Regional Universities in the South, moving from No. 17 to No. 6 for 2023.
“It is an honor to see Tuskegee University increase in its rankings to be recognized as the number three HBCU in the nation,” said President Charlotte P. Morris. “This is a testament to the outstanding work that we have done to enhance our student outcomes and the quality of our academic program offerings.”
U.S. News publishes the Best Colleges rankings each year to provide prospective students and their families with valuable data and information on factors such as graduation rates, social mobility, and graduate indebtedness.
Among other rankings, Tuskegee University ranks as follows in the listed categories:
Accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges, Tuskegee University offers 42 bachelor’s, 16 master’s, and six doctoral degree program options. In addition to SACSCOC accreditation, degree programs in specialized fields and disciplines also hold accreditation with their respective accrediting bodies.
