Traveling is great – traveling when you get a lot for your money is even better.
According to U.S. News & World Report, Grand Canyon, Arizona, ranks #1 in both the best places to visit and the best cheap vacation spot in the United States.
According to the website, the best times to visit the Grand Canyon are March through May and September through November, when daytime temperatures are somewhat cool and it's not too crowded.
If you decide to visit during the summer, which also happens to be the peak season, you may experience limited availability when it comes to lodging. That, plus you'd have to share the area with plenty of tourists just like yourself.
I once visited Grand Canyon in early April, and it was a wonderful, unforgettable experience.
Needless to say, is the canyon itself. The South Rim of the Grand Canyon is the most visited location at Grand Canyon National Park. Here, you get to see the scenic views and vistas. The South Rim is open year-round and is accessible to all.
Grand Canyon National Park, located in northern Arizona, encompasses 278 miles of the Colorado River and adjacent uplands. On the ancestral homeland of 11 Associated Tribes, Grand Canyon is one of the most spectacular examples of erosion anywhere in the world.
There isn't anything like it.
If you decided to spend your vacation in the Grand Canyon, camping is an affordable option for lodging. Some of their campgrounds are open year-round, others close for the winter, all of which you can check on the national park service website.

You know you're in a classic, American restaurant when they serve you freshly baked bread and whipped butter almost immediately after being seated. The Greenfield Restaurant & Bar appears as a historic home in the midst of a corporate center. It feels a little bit out of place, but the house was actually there before everything else. The restaurant resides in the former home of the Clymer family, which farmed the land that eventually became Greenfield Corporate Center. Their restaurant sits right off of William Penn Way and is hard to miss, especially these days with holiday decor lighting up the place.

If you grew up in a Christian household in Lancaster, PA (or anywhere else, for that matter), you may have heard of the word Agapē. It feels a bit like a speakeasy, seeing the lit-up "Pull gate to open" by the entrance of Proof Lancaster. You follow the instructions, the gate opens, and you walk down to a characteristic setting on the lower level.

Living healthy is great, but some days, fast food such as burgers and fries hits the soft spot like nothing else. Especially after a long week. Today, I'm highlighting Harrisburg, PA. A city with plenty of options when it comes to juicy burgers. Here are a handful of local, highly-rated favorites.
Takeout always feels good in the days (maybe weeks, even) after the big turkey meal. After socializing, cooking, cleaning, all of it – a night doing nothing feels amazing.
