Man Utd news LIVE: Cristiano Ronaldo ‘tempted’ by Chelsea, Atletico to listen to Felix offers, Gary Nev… – The Sun

PORTUGUESE legend Cristiano Ronaldo is 'tempted' by a move to Manchester United's Premier League rivals Chelsea according to reports.
Ronaldo, 37, has reportedly had two huge offers from Saudi clubs Al Nassr and Al Hilal earlier on this week.
But it has been claimed that Blues owner Todd Boehly is eager to revive his interest in the five-time Ballon d'Or winner.
Meanwhile, United are reportedly in a three-way transfer battle for Atletico Madrid star Joao Felix with Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain.
And reports suggest that Atletico Madrid are now willing to listen to offers from potential buyers.
And SunSport have exclusively revealed that Red Devils icon Gary Neville is in the clear after his online comment delayed Ryan Giggs' trial.

Virgil Van Dijk took a sly dig at Manchester United when discussing Cody Gakpo’s future.
And when asked whether Gakpo is ready to play at the level of either of those giant clubs, either in January or next summer, Van Dijk replied: “Is Manchester United and Real Madrid the same level at the moment?
"No disrespect, not at all. I definitely think he has that next step in him. I definitely feel like it could happen, whether that is in the winter or the summer or next year, time will tell.
“He is a great boy who works hard, very talented and definitely there is more in him. we are so pleased he is doing so well for us. Long may it continue.”
FORMER Man Utd boss Louis Van Gaal gave Denzel Dumfries a big kiss on the cheek in his post-match press conference as he celebrated Holland reaching the last eight of the World Cup.
Man of the match Dumfries was sat next to Van Gaal while facing the media after Holland’s 3-1 win over USA in which he scored one and assisted two.
And Van Gaal said: “Denzel knows that the day before yesterday I gave him a big fat kiss, I am going to give him another…there you can see.”
Juventus' financial dealings show that Juventus rejected a proposal from Man Utd to swap Weston McKennie for Donny Van de Beek.
The Serie A club are currently being investigated for dodgy dealings – and could face relegation from the top division.
Now, according to Football Italia, Utd try to swap the USA midfielder for the Dutch star.
Man Utd stars have arrived at the airport ahead of their Spanish winter tour.
Any Red Devils players not at the World Cup will be joining Erik ten Hag and his coaching staff in Cadiz.
There are 13 of the first-team squad, plus loan players Hannibal and Alex Telles, taking part in the global showcase in Qatar.
But United announced a friendly match against Real Betis to kick off the break for the rest of the roster.
They will play the La Liga side on Dec 10 before taking on local top flight Cadiz CF on Wednesday, Dec 7.
And Scottish midfielder Scott McTominay was spotted in his full club tracksuit at Manchester airport on Saturday.
Lisandro Martinez will start on the bench for Argentina for their quarter-final clash vs Poland.
The Man Utd centre back has found himself out of favour for his country.
He has only featured once in the World Cup for his country.
Former Man Utd manager Louis Van Gaal has led the Netherlands to the quarter-final of the World Cup.
The Dutch are through after goals from Memphis Depay, Daley Blind and Denzel Dumfries.
USA threatened a comeback when Haji Wright scored to make it 2-1, but it’s Louis Van Gaal’s side who prevail.
Man Utd have reportedly received some bad news in their pursuit of Napoli and South Korea defender Kim Min-jae.
The 26-year-old centre-back has impressed for his country at the World Cup in Qatar, playing an integral part in them reaching the last 16 for just the third time in their history.
His superb form at international level comes after an excellent start to the season in Italy.
Min-jae joined Napoli from Fenerbahce for £16million in the summer and made 20 appearances before the World Cup break, scoring two goals.
And his presence at the heart of their defence has seen them open up an eight-point lead at the top of the Serie A table.
They also won their Champions League group, beating Liverpool, Ajax and Rangers along the way to set up a second round clash with Eintracht Frankfurt.
Atletico Madrid are set to listen to offers for want-away star Joao Felix, which poses as a huge boost for Manchester United.
With Felix's compatriot Cristiano Ronaldo off the books, United are on the look-out for a new attacker.
And the Red Devils have been heavily linked with the forward but Atletico reportedly want to recoup as much of the £113million fee that they spent on his signature.
Bayern Munich are also claimed to be interested in the Portugal international too
Cristiano Ronaldo has been linked with a move to Chelsea after his dramatic exit from Manchester United.
Ronaldo has had two huge offers from Saudi Arabian clubs Al Nassr and Al Hilal earlier on this week.
But reports suggest that the Blues' owner Todd Boehly has held talks with the five-time Ballon d'Or winner's agent Jorge Mendes.
And the Portugal captain is "tempted" by the move
Debbie Hewitt, the Football Association’s first female chair, combines a strong business background with proper football knowledge, writes SunSport’s Dan King.
Hewitt, 59, remains on the board of Visa Europe and other blue-chip firms.
But among the interesting things to emerge from a reception at the British Embassy in Doha was the fact that the lifelong Liverpool fan also knows the words to England’s 1982 World Cup song “This Time (We’ll Get It Right)”.
Maybe the FA have done just that by appointing someone who sees what needs to be done AND has the skills and experience to do it
Borussia Dortmund's Thomas Meunier is reportedly open to offers above a move away.
The full-back has been linked to Manchester United previously along with other big European clubs.
Mundo Deportivo report that the 31-year-old could be ready to move away with other clubs monitoring his situation.
It could be a fairly tight and competitive encounter between Holland and the US in today’s afternoon last 16 game.
One who could make the difference is PSV star and Manchester United target Cody Gakpo, who has three goals in three games so far.
Harry Maguire has included the recently-departed Cristiano Ronaldo in his five-a-side team.
The centre-back is enjoying a good tournament in the World Cup and said he would still include the Portuguese star despite his messy exit from Manchester United.
Maguire told England's Youtube Channel: "Stonesy [John Stones] at the back. I'd go for Harry Kane up top, whenever we play five-a-side he's top goalscorer every time.
"I'd put Cristiano [Ronaldo] in there. Those two together, you’ve won the game already. I'd put myself in there. And then I'd go with a midfielder, I'd go with Declan Rice. He protects everything doesn't he."
Emmanuel Petit has declared himself a fan of rising star and Manchester United target Jude Bellingham after his brilliant World Cup performances.
The former Arsenal midfielder told Midnite: "I love Jude Bellingham. He's the mix between Frank Lampard and Steven Gerrard. He's very mature, and his body language on the pitch is tremendous.
"He can do so many things on the pitch so for me, he's one of the best players [in his position] in the world right now."
Alex Telles looked devastated as he left the pitch against Cameroon yesterday.
The Manchester defender, on loan at Sevilla, had his head in his shirt as a knee injury left his limping off as he was subbed.
Reports this morning suggest both the full-back and Gabriel Jesus are set to miss the rest of the tournament for Brazil.
Piers Morgan has been speculating on Cristiano Ronaldo's next move.
The TV star interviewed his football pal last month for Talk TV and Ronaldo's explosive claims about Manchester United led to him exiting the club.
Sun columnist Morgan told the Telegraph: "[Ronaldo] thinks that if he does well at this World Cup, he’ll get what he really wants.
"Which is a club in the Champions League that extends his record and his legacy.
"It’s not about money at this stage of his career. It comes down to a burning desire to play football at the highest level, to break records and win trophies.
"And he has done that in more countries than any other player in history."
Brazil pair Alex Telles and Gabriel Jesus have been ruled OUT of the World Cup, according to reports.
The Arsenal star suffered a knee injury against Cameroon, while the Manchester United also hobbled off in the 1-0 defeat.
Man United defender Telles, on loan at Sevilla, was withdrawn early in the second period on Friday, while the Arsenal man came off 10 minutes later.
According to Brazilian outlet Globo, the pair will play no further part in Qatar, with South Korea to come on Monday in the last-16.
Piers Morgan has revealed he and Cristiano Ronaldo exchanged text messages minutes after the 37-year-old's Manchester United exit was confirmed.
The pair combined for one of football's most explosive interviews as Ronaldo lashed out at his club – before mutually agreeing to have his contract ripped up.
In an interview with the Telegraph, Sun columnist Morgan said: "I texted Cristiano a GIF of William Wallace in Braveheart shouting: 'Freedom!'
"He thought that was a perfect summation of how he felt. 'Free as a bird' was his response."
Jack Wilshere has come out batting for Marcus Rashford to get a start against Senegal tomorrow.
Gareth Southgate is spoilt for choice after multiple players put themselves in the frame with an impressive second-half showing against Wales.
Wilshere exclusives says in the Sun: "Marcus didn't play for England for 16 months from that final to the Iran game but he is right in the groove now and I would definitely start him against Senegal tomorrow.
"When we played against Australia [in 2016, on Rashford's debut], Marcus didn't actually have that good a good game but he had the knack of doing something special even if he was slightly off his game."

Atletico Madrid are set to listen to offers for want-away star Joao Felix which is a huge boost for Manchester United.
With Felix's Portuguese compatriot Cristiano Ronaldo off the books, the Red Devils are on the look-out for a new attacker.
And the Red Devils have been heavily linked with Felix but Atletico reportedly want to recoup as much of the £113million fee that they spent on his signature.
German titans Bayern Munich are also claimed to be interested in Felix too.
Portuguese legend Cristiano Ronaldo will be focused on guiding his side to a World Cup quarter-final on Tuesday but club football will be in the back of his mind too.
Ronaldo, 37 has reportedly had two huge offers from Saudi clubs Al Nassr and Al Hilal earlier on this week.
But reports suggest that Chelsea owner Todd Boehly has held talks with Ronaldo's agent Jorge Mendes.
And the five-time Ballon d'Or winner is 'tempted' by the move.

The Red Devils could battle continental giants for Real Sociedad midfielder Martin Zubimendi and Atletico Madrid attacker Joao Felix.
Barcelona are rated United's prime rivals for one-cap Spaniard Zubimendi.
Old Trafford chief Erik ten Hag has persistently been linked with such a new anchorman.
And the growing speculation over Zubimendi comes as Brazil rested United's £60million midfield star Casemiro.
Alex Telles and Antony joined Fred to give the Red Devils THREE starters for the World Cup favourites in their shock 1-0 loss against Cameroon.
But the former two might not have done enough to keep their place for Brazil's Monday's last-16 clash with South Korea on Monday.
Meanwhile, United have been urged to act quickly if they want to land versatile Portugal attacker Joao Felix.
Bayern Munich and PSG are reportedly considering huge bids in the summer.
And it's thought United might succeed if they offer around £86million in January.
So far, though, Ten Hag appears to prefer PSG wideman Cody Gakpo.
Manchester United legend Paul Scholes has urged his former club to replace Cristiano Ronaldo with either PSV Eindhoven star Cody Gakpo or RB Leipzig ace Christopher Nkunku.
Speaking on MUTV’s The Debate, Scholes said: “I think there’s a couple of forwards they might look at. The kid at RB Leipzig that’s been linked with Chelsea, Nkunku. Centre-forward is obviously the big position that needs filling.
“We have Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford who can both play there, but I think Marcus prefers being out wide and Antony’s injury record isn’t great.
“January might be too soon [to replace Ronaldo], they’re probably looking at next summer now, but I do think there are players out there.”
Sholes added: “The lad at PSV – Gakpo – is doing really well for the Netherlands at the World Cup, and I think [Erik] Ten Hag has been really interested in him before. There are players out there for sure.
“January can be a tough window to do business but I hope we can do something and bring in a new centre-forward”
United and Barcelona could fight it out for Real Sociedad midfielder Martin Zubimendi.
We told you earlier this week that Red Devils’ boss Erik ten Hag is reportedly keen to find another midfield anchorman.
Brazil star Casemiro is still being bedded in after his £60million summer arrival from Real Madrid.
Fred and Scott McTominay have also yet to fully convince.
And so far Barcelona’s Frenkie de Jong has proved elusive.
Now it’s claimed United are emerging as serious rivals to Barca for Zubimendi.
The one-cap Spaniard only extended his Sociedad contract in October.
The new deal is thought to include a £51.5million release clause.
Torino midfielder Sasa Lukic is a new name being mentioned for Manchester United.
Leeds and Everton have already been linked with the Serbian World Cup star, 26.
And Lukic has another chance to impress in Qatar tonight when they face Switzerland in a must-win clash.
Roma are also said to be interested as he approaches the final 18 months of his contract.
Although mainly a central midfielder, Lukic can also play as an anchorman or just behind the attack.
