LEWISTON – Best-Universities.net, a leading higher education research organization, recently ranked Lewis-Clark State College No. 2 in the United State for having the most affordable online social work degree.
Best-Universities.net collects data from the U.S. Department of Education’s National Center for Education Statistics survey and then ranks the most affordable social work degree programs based on average net price, being regionally or nationally accredited, and offering at least one fully online social work degree.
Trailing only Eastern New Mexico University in the 2023 Most Affordable Online Social Work Degree programs category, LC State was honored for its standing in U.S. News & World Report’s annual ranking of regional colleges.
Best-Universities.net complimented the college by writing “Because Lewis-Clark State College has a small student population, students enjoy a high degree of attention and support from faculty and staff. It also has a higher than average rate of placing students into employment within two years of graduation (89%).”
LC State offers a Bachelor of Social Work degree that includes internships, research projects and student activities, both in a traditional in-class setting and a non-tradition online format.
In 2020, EduRef.net also ranked LC State at No. 2 in its annual rankings of Most Affordable Online Social Work Programs.
