Here's how Triad, NC universities fared in the 2022-23 U.S. News & World Report rankings – Triad Business Journal – The Business Journals

Wake Forest University was ranked one of the nation’s top 30 universities, High Point University was named the South’s No.1 regional college, and Elon University had a strong showing in the specialty rankings in the U.S. News & World Report’s 2022-23 Best College rankings.
Wake Forest tied with UNC-Chapel Hill for 29th in the rankings of the best national universities. Duke University ranked 10th among national universities, N.C. State was 72nd and Elon was 89th to give North Carolina five schools in the top 100. UNC-Greensboro ranked 219, Winston-Salem State University No. 285 and N.C. A&T State University No. 299.
High Point University was named the Best Regional College in the South for the 11th consecutive year and was also named the most innovative regional college for the eighth consecutive year. It was also ranked second in Best Undergraduate Teaching.
Elon University ranked first in undergraduate teaching for national universities and in Learning Communities, second in first-year experience, third in Service Learning, sixth in innovation, seventh in undergraduate research and ninth in internships.
Wake Forest ranked 21st in undergraduate teaching and 23rd in best values for for national universities. WFU also had the 39th ranked business program in the country.
Salem College ranked No. 1 In social mobility and No. 19 in economic diversity among national liberal arts colleges.
UNC-Greensboro’s nursing program ranked 67th nationally. UNCG also ranked 18th in social mobility among national universities.
North Carolina A&T was ranked ninth among the nation’s Historically Black Colleges and Universities, and Winston-Salem State was 19th. WSSU also ranked eighth in economic diversity and 18th in social mobility among national universities.
Statewide, UNC-Chapel Hill tied for No. 5 and N.C. State landed at No. 29 in the list of top national public schools.
UNC, where annual undergraduate tuition and fees total around $9,000 for in-state students, ranked No. 8 nationally for undergraduate business programs while N.C. State, with similar in-state tuition costs, was 73. Duke’s Fuqua School of Business was not included in the rankings.
Duke, where tuition is no $60,000 a year for the private school, ranked 16th for top engineering programs and N.C. State was 33rd. UNC-Chapel Hill was 61st.
