Alfred State College (ASC) is ranked an excellent choice for students looking at science, technology, engineering, or mathematics, known as the STEM fields.
US News & World Report and MatchCollege.com place Alfred State on the US Top 10 honor rolls for 2023 in multiple engineering technology and computer-related majors.
Several other majors within the School of Architecture, Management, and Engineering Technology (SAMET) earned best in the state rankings as well.
SAMET Dean Dr. John Williams sees the rankings as validation for all the hard work by faculty, staff, and students. “These rankings illustrate the quality education and the efforts made to prepare the next generation in multiple in-demand career fields. It’s very rewarding as we start the new year to have this public recognition of excellence coming from objective sources. We will continue to provide exceptional educational opportunities and hands-on experiences that will prepare students for success.”
