Leicester can expect warmer weather this week, with highs of a relatively balmy 13 deg C predicted for today. But it is unlikely to be a dry day, with rain this afternoon forecast by the Met Office.
The rain will start around 1pm, affecting the city and parts of the county including Loughborough, Market Harborough and Lutterworth, till around 3pm. In the city, the rain will be at its heaviest at around 1.30pm.
A spokesperson for the Met Office said : "A wet and windy day, with outbreaks of rain arriving from the southwest. Cloudy throughout, with a chance of some heavy downpours later in the day. Feeling rather mild. Maximum temperature 13 deg C."

Tuesday is looking to be drier and brighter, with a chance of light rain. Wednesday and Thursday are also expected to be wet and windy, said the body, adding that "some drier spells will be possible at times".
The big thaw began yesterday. Temperatures rose gradually over the course of yesterday, starting at -2 deg C in Leicester at 12am and warming to 8 deg C by 11.
