Prince Harry news: Duke & Meghan Markle will be left out of key tradition during coronation after public… – The Sun

MEGHAN Markle & Prince Harry were told to "grow up" by the US public as their popularity drops for "airing dirty laundry in public".
Their plummeting popularity coincides with the publication of Prince Harry’s memoir, Spare, and a string of high-profile interviews as well as a divisive Netflix documentary.
Last week an exclusive poll for Newsweek magazine showed the Duke had dropped 45 points in US public opinion, while Meghan Markle dropped 36 points — all in just one month.
And The Sun spoke to people across America with Marlon Bradford, 49, blasting: “Harry should have recognised he’s not like the rest of us and not exposed all that dirty linen. It’s an ugliness we don’t really want to see, even though all families have that side to them. It’s made so many people uncomfortable.”
Meanwhile Daisy Graham, 21, fumed: “They have all this privilege, but still whinge about it. It makes me think, ‘Come on, grow up’. It’s like they’re telling us they have all this nice stuff but she’s moaning about wearing a certain colour to an event. I mean, really?”

The Duke of Sussex opened up about his time in Afghanistan in his memoir, Spare, and said that he killed 25 Taliban fighters.
Some said that this confession can put his safety at risk with former longtime CIA counter-terrorism officer Bruce Riedel telling the US Sun that Harry may be able to request official protection.
Mr Riedel explained: "Some ambassadors are given special protection. It would help if the British government weighed in. He has taken a risk in his statement about killing 25 Taliban but it is not a big risk.
"The Taliban do not have an international reach and especially not in the United States. In twenty years of war with America they never operated in the US.
"An angry Afghan American acting on his own might be a threat but most of the Afghan American community is against the Taliban.”
Royal biographer Tom Bower said Prince Harry was “groomed” by Meghan Markle and she was the driving force behind his controversial tell-all memoir Spare.
The expert claimed that before meeting Harry, Meghan had “constantly” sought out platforms to become a relevant speaker on social issues.
Bower said: “She wanted to be Angelina Jolie; a celebrity and a famous influencer. But she was irrelevant.
“Being with Harry gave her that opportunity and she played him from the start.
“Harry was groomed by Meghan.
“Her wedding guests were all Hollywood, not family, which shows her agenda.
“She always wanted to go back to Hollywood.”
He added: “His book is really Meghan’s. Meghan is the person who has dictated this agenda.”
In the acknowledgements section of his book, the prince says Meg was his “logical, physical, emotional and spiritual” inspiration.
Former Met Police inspector Mark Andrews – who was also Camilla’s former chief police protection officer – will become the King’s and her new head chauffeur, The Sun can reveal.
The source said: “Camilla was particularly shaken when the car she and Charles were travelling in was attacked by rioters. It enhanced her awareness about security and she came to place great trust and reliance in Mark.
“She has total confidence in him and wants him to be part of the team. Charles and Camilla really could not be in better hands while he is driving them.”
Princess Eugenie was born on March 23, 1990, making her 32 years old.
She is currently 11th in line for the throne, however, despite her title she doesn’t carry out any public duties or receive an allowance from the privy purse.
She married her husband Jack Brooksbank at Windsor Castle on October 12, 2018, after they dated since 2011 when they met on a skiing trip in the Swiss resort of Verbier.
The couple has a son, August, and are expecting a second child in the summer.
While attending the World Economic Forum in Davos, Princess Eugenie revealed how she is educating her son August about climate change.
To contribute to helping the environment, the daughter of Prince Andrew told Reuters that she ditched all plastic products.
She said: “My son’s going to be an activist from two years old, which is in a couple of days. So, he, everything is for them.
“I talked to Peter Thomson, the UN Special Envoy for Oceans and all he says to me is that I do this for my grandchildren. And that’s the same.
“Every decision we now make has to be for whether August, what he’s going to be able to look at and do and how he’s going to live his life.
“But I think also as a mother, you all of a sudden, totally you change, your hormones change, everything changes. Like now I’m scared of flying and things like that and I would never be before.
“At home we have no plastic, we try as much as possible to have no plastic and I’m trying to teach him that. But it’s a battle.”
Kate Middleton’s brother James has taken to Instagram to share the news that his beloved therapy dog Ella had died.
In a post he said: “It is with great sadness that I announce my dear Ella has passed away
“For 15 years Ella has been at my side, from my darkest days to my happiest. I’m going to miss her terribly
“Ella had a very short illness, she slipped away in my arms at home and is now buried in the garden alongside Tilly. I took this picture just a few hours before she died
“I’m just about holding it together to write this, and despite the fact I knew this day was coming, it doesn’t make it any easier
“Goodnight my darling Ella, Alizee and the dogs will take good care of me.”
Americans appear to be turning against the Duke and Duchess of Sussex — after they both plummeted in an opinion poll.
Harry now has an approval rating of -7, compared to +38 in early December.
Meghan Markle sank to -13, compared to +23 over the same period, pollster Redfield & Wilton revealed.
Asked if Harry was right to reveal intimate conversations with his family members in his biography, only 26 per cent said he was — with 44 per cent saying he was in the wrong.
Meghan Markle’s half-sister Samantha Markle, 58, said Prince Harry is “lacking in empathy, remorse, and shame”.
Speaking with GB News, Samantha said: “I think [Harry] is lacking in empathy, remorse, and shame.
“He is showing a clear disconnect with reality and is so emotionally underdeveloped that he can’t move on from this stage where he has resentment over a whole host of issues.
“I don’t think he can think like an adult because I don’t think emotionally he is one.
“It’s really par for the course that he’s behaving in this bitter and delusionary way.
Asked about whether she thought King Charles should apologise to the Sussexes, she added: “It would come with a great deal of risk and, I believe, be absolutely dangerous to do so.
“If King Charles apologises to them, he is opening the door for more abuse.
“That’s what happens when you apologise to sociopaths and narcissists. You find yourself beating a dead horse.
“And he cannot be apathetic and enable that sort of manipulation and control.”
Writing in his new memoir Spare, Prince Harry recalled the moment he asked Her Majesty the Queen for permission to marry Meghan Markle.
Writing in the tell-all book, Harry said “it didn’t make sense” that he had to request his grandmother’s permission to marry Meghan.
Prince Harry recalled the moment he asked, writing: “I’ve been told that I have to ask your permission before I can propose”.
Her Majesty then replied: “You have to? Well then, I suppose I have to say yes.”
Prince Harry wrote of his confusion and annoyance in that moment.
He wrote: “I didn’t get it. Was she being sarcastic? Ironic? Deliberately cryptic?
“Was she indulging in a bit of wordplay? I’d never known Granny to do any wordplay and this would be a surpassingly bizarre moment (not to mention widely inconvenient) for her to start, but maybe she just saw the chance to play off my unfortunate use of the word “have” and couldn’t resist.”

Prince Harry and Meghan took a financial hit upon leaving the Royal Family, however, thanks to the media deals they settled, their net worth has taken a positive turn.
MailOnline reported that the Duke and Duchess signed a four-book deal with their book publisher, Penguin Random House, for £16million.
Meanwhile, they also benefitted from a deal signed with Spotify back in 2020 for £18million.
In 2022, the couple released a six-episode docu-series on Netflix which saw them rake in £88million.
King Charles will break a Coronation royal tradition by dropping the wearing of silk stockings and breeches.
Instead, the monarch will be wearing his military uniform when he is crowned at Westminster Abbey on May 6.
An insider said: “Though some of the more long-winded elements of the Coronation will be moved aside or modernised, the King was happy to wear the breeches and stockings.
“But in discussion with senior aides they are saying he should not wear them, so will arrive in a military uniform instead.
“It is largely to do with modernising the Coronation and stripping away the stuffiness. They think having a 74-year-old King arriving in stockings and breeches in 2023 looks too dated. They are probably right.”
When Harry and Meghan were expecting Lilibet, their lives were way different from when they had Archie and still had a royal role.
When expecting Lilibet, the Duke said how he wanted to be the first person Lilibet sees.
He wrote: “I cradled her just a moment, trying to smile at her, to see her, but honestly I couldn’t see anything.”
When Lilibet was born, Meghan and Harry shared a special intimate moment in which the Duchess told him: “I’ve never been more in love with you than in that moment.”
Harry was left speechless replying: “Really?” with Meghan giving him reassurance by repeating the words.
Prince Harry has reportedly scored another £16million for his memoir Spare.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex took a financial hit upon leaving royal family.
In the UK a whopping 750,000 copies of Spare have been sold since its publication on January 10.
Harry paid ghostwriter JJ Moehringer $1million for the book.
Princess Eugenie is currently 11th in line to the throne, while her son August follows her in 12th.
Now that she announced that she’s pregnant with her second child, the new royal baby will affect the line of succession once she or he is born.
The baby will be 13th in line, moving everyone a step away from the throne.
Prince Edward will be moved to 14th while Princess Anne will now be 17th in line.
Astrologer Inbaal Honigman believes King Charles will “modernise some traditions” in 2023.
Speaking with FairBettingSites, Hongiman said: “For 2023, King Charles receives the Tarot card called the Ace of Cups, also known as the Root of the Powers of Water.
“Cups cards represent the Water element. Water is about emotions, sensitivity and dreams.
“This means that Charles will feel happy to have his family near him, and there will be many happy family occasions, even another wedding on the horizon for the extended royal brood, and a birth.
“The coronation itself will be celebrated for its sensible and moderate presentation, and its honouring of generations before. The focus will be on family, not opulence.
“As King, the card suggests that Charles will modernise some traditions in 2023, to allow families to inherit more fairly, whether male or female descendants.”
The director of Harry and MeghanLiz Garbus hit back at claims that Buckingham Palace was not asked to comment.
The Netflix docu-series included a statement which read: “Members of the royal family decline to comment on the content within this series.”
While speaking with Vanity Fair, Garbus said that during the making of the series, she felt immersed in Harry and Meghan’s situation with the palace.
She said: “For instance, Buckingham Palace said that we didn’t reach out for comment [on the docuseries] when we did.
“They did that to discredit us…and by discrediting us, they can discredit the content of the show.… We lived through some of those moments that were a little bit like Alice Through the Looking Glass.
Dallington Hall in Northamptonshire was home to the royal's great uncle, Charles Spencer, and served as a home for injured soldiers during the Second World War.
This five-bedroom property, on the market for £995,000, comprises a major portion of the town house.
It was built in 1720 for Sir Joseph Jekyll, a prominent barrister, judge and Master of the Rolls.
The house has a striking front door and a magnificent two-storey listed Georgian oak staircase.

While appearing on the Apple Fitness + podcast Time to Walk, Prince William revealed the 80s hit that he and his mother used to sing together.
He told the podcast: “When I was younger, Harry and I, we were at boarding school. And my mother used to play all sorts of songs to kind of while away the anxiety of going back to school.
“And one of the songs I massively remember and has stuck with me all this time, and I still, to this day, still quite enjoy secretly, is Tina Turner’s “The Best” because sitting in the backseat, singing away, it felt like a real family moment.
“And my mother, she’d be driving along, singing at the top of her voice. And we’d even get the policeman in the car, he’d be occasionally singing along, as well.”
Paediatric nurse and consultant Lorren Khumalo was employed by Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to look after Archie when he was just a few months old.
The Sussexes were living at Frogmore Cottage at the time, before they moved to America.
Speaking on The Breakfast Club with Zenzele Ndebele, Khumalo said: "I thought to myself, 'I wonder how their nannies look, do they wear heels?'
"Prince William has got a Norland Nanny, so they've got a brown uniform that for my skin colour and the way it looks in khaki brown, I knew it wouldn't even go, it would just not work.
"So I [thought] I'll wear something dark and nice kitten heels but I'll look presentable for a royal so I need to do my best. But I didn't use any make-up, I said if they take me, they take me as I am.
"I wasn't born with a silver spoon, I'm not blue blood, I will go as I am and trust me with my God, I'll get this job."
She added: "So I got there and there's lots of checks that they do but when I got there I expected to see a princely somebody, in those very expensive German, Swiss suits or something. He was in his jeans, in a t-shirt, walking barefoot because it was hot.
"And I kept asking his PPO, so his protection officer, 'Do I curtsy, do I have to?' And he just looked at me and laughed and he said, 'You'll see, Prince Harry is amazing'.
"When I got there, the way he opened his arms 'Hello Lorren!' and gave me a hug.
"[I thought] 'Wow, what a gentleman, what a gem', oh my goodness, I couldn't believe it."
"And when I walked in and saw Meghan I thought 'My God, what a beautiful woman'.
"I just felt so comfortable, it wasn't so formal as I expected it to be, it was just a normal home."
Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson inherited the late-Queen's beloved corgis following her death in September last year.
But they will not be feeding them with plain old supermarket kibble.
Speaking about the dogs' diet, royal chef Darren McGrady told Hello!: "The beef would come in, we would cook it, dice it into really fine pieces and then we did the same with the chicken.
"We'd poach them, and again chop them really, really small to make sure there were no bones so the dogs wouldn't choke."
Andrew and Fergie still live together at Royal Lodge, despite divorcing in 1996.
The Royal Family shared a recipe for the Scottish pudding Cranachan from the royal kitchens on social media in honour of Burns Night.
Burns Night celebrates the life and poetry of Scottish author Robert Burns and is held on his birthday, January 25.
The Royal Family tweeted: "Happy #BurnsNight!
"If you’re celebrating today, why not have a go at making the traditional Scottish pudding Cranachan, using this recipe from the Royal Kitchens."

Just Stop Oil protesters could “interfere” with the Coronation of King Charles, City Hall has been told.
Speaking at the London Assembly policing and crime committee today, chairman Susan Hall asked Met Police commissioner Sir Mark Rowley: “I’ve been told by Henry Riley of LBC that he’s been having discussions with Just Stop Oil and that they’re going to try and interfere with the coronation itself.
“Have you heard anything around that?”
Rowley replied: “I haven’t seen that intelligence yet myself.
“I know they have a week of protest planned the week before the coronation.
“Whether they intend to extend that into that I don’t know. That may or may not be true.
“We will do everything we can to make the coronation the special moment it ought to be, just as we did with her late Majesty’s funeral.”
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle would have been among the first members of the Royal Family to hear about Princess Eugenie's pregnancy, according to royal expert Ingrid Seward.
Seward told the Mirror: “The Duke and Duchess of Sussex would have been amongst the first to hear the news of Eugenie’s pregnancy.
“Meghan and Harry are close with Eugenie – and not only has she stayed with them in California, but they have been on holidays together before Harry’s marriage.”
