In correspondence received, the Clerk reported and welcomed ideas received via email from local people, generated by the recent newsletter, which included: Planting an apple grove in memory of local saint Teilo, who planted Bardsey apples whilst working in France; Establishing a community orchard; Reconsidering the Village Warden post.
Cllr Snow commented on the excellent ideas which will be considered in the project plan for next year.
Councillors were informed of an email received regarding parking on the grass verge alongside the A4139 and in front of Haven Caravan site, creating potential hazards. The community council have flagged this issue of concern with Pembrokeshire County Council previously, and County Councillor Phil Kidney will raise this issue with the relevant department of the local authority.
An email had been received from a resident of Holloway Court, regarding the parking in the estate. There are ten spaces available and over sixteen houses. Cllr Kidney reported that the matter had been discussed previously, and he would enquire on the outcome of previous enquiry from the relevant department of PCC.

Cllr D’Arcy reported that a local resident had contacted the County Council regarding the dismantling and disposal by bonfire of an old wooden property in the village. This had been reported to Environmental Health and the fire brigade on two occasions, however the County Council did not appear to respond. Cllr Kidney said he would investigate this complaint further.
Cllr D’Arcy also reported that a chest fridge freezer had been left (fly tipped) outside the flats at Alma Gardens by the bus stop in Penally for some time. PCC had been contacted by a local resident who suggested they would not be able to dispose of it. Cllr Kidney said he would arrange for it to be collected by PCC.
It was reported by Cllr D’Arcy that the drain across the road from the Village Hall car park area was blocked by the bank encroaching on the road and vegetation growth. It has not been cleared and the road flooded recently during heavy rainfall.
Cllr Kidney said he would speak to Street Scene at PCC and request the drains are unblocked and made free of debris.
In his report to the Community Council, Cllr Kidney stated:
• The sign/advertising board at top of village which complaints has been received about, was visited by street care, who had no problem with it, as it was not encroaching onto the highway.
• Verges at top of village, visited by Will Lloyd of PCC’s highways department, who thought they were ok. A site visit would be arranged with Cllr Jason Williams-James, to highlight problem areas.
• Speeding through village – Claire Williams PCC traffic engineer, would come out as part of the speed limits changing to 20mph, in 2023.
• Holloway Court – the footpath to the bus shelter is to be re-laid in January.
• Development work at site by the former Night Owl premises, with the owner confirming the tidying up of the site. With all paperwork from NRW in place, it would be top soiled in December, and seeded in March.
• On concerns regarding bus route – with buses not going through the village, and passengers being left stranded, if anyone has a complaint, they should contact First Cymru on 07866 123270, as hopefully, volume of complaints might get some consistency on the route 349.
Cllr Snow reported a meeting in early January would be scheduled to prepare budget and precept for 2023-24. A three-year plan will also be considered to include new project ideas.
