Residents are being encouraged to enter their nominations for the Charnwood Sport Awards 2022.
The awards, run by Charnwood Borough Council, celebrate the sporting achievements of residents and the dedication of sports clubs across the borough.
This year they will also highlight the work of schools and workplaces that are making a difference to people’s health and wellbeing.
The deadline for nominations is Friday October 7.
Cllr Leigh Harper-Davies, the Council’s lead member for communities, said: “These awards are a fantastic opportunity to highlight the sporting achievements of individuals and clubs across Charnwood.
“Physical health can play such an important role in improving people’s health and wellbeing and I am pleased that these awards celebrate that.
“If you know a person or a club worthy of an award, please make sure you nominate them.”
The awards ceremony will take place on Monday December 5, 2022.
It is the first time the awards have taken place in three years due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
There are nine categories open for nominations:
