GH Star Lynn Herring Takes A Trip Down Beauty Pageant Memory Lane – Soap Hub

General Hospital’s Lynn Herring got to see something exciting from her past that was new to her.
While Lucy Coe is currently missing in Port Charles action and her future remains unknown, her portrayer, General Hospital star Lynn Herring, recently got a reminder of her glorious and stunning past.
It happened on Twitter when one of the social media platform’s users named Courtney shared some footage that was even new to Herring, along with the caption which said, “Lynn Herring was Miss Virginia USA 1977.” The actress was thrilled and shared some more information about what seeing it meant to her.
“Thank you for finding this!❤️ I have never seen it & it brought back such lovely memories,” exclaimed Herring. “Helped pay for my degree at LSU [Louisiana State University], I had such a positive experience. I know beauty pageants have different meanings 4 different folks these days but I learned a lot.”
Lynn Herring went on to compete in the Miss USA Pageant and was fourth runner-up to Kimberly Tomes for the title of Miss USA 1977. The blast from the past got the attention of some other folks from her GH daytime past and present, as they responded to the fantastic clip, which you can see below.
Current GH co-star Lydia Look, who plays Selina Wu, said, “beautiful inside & out. ❤️🔥❤️⭐️” while former longtime General Hospital scribe and current The Bold and the Beautiful writer responded simply, “I. Love. This.”
As a couple of fans noticed, this particular part of the actress’s past certainly makes it easier to understand why she has always seemed at ease in Lucy’s role as hostess with the mostess at all the various Nurses Ball episodes that General Hospital has put on over the years — including those beloved costume changes. Simply put, she was born to walk that runway and look absolutely stunning doing it! Here’s hoping Lucy will be found in time, and she’ll get to do it again when the Nurses Ball returns for the April celebrations of the show’s 60th anniversary.
