Devastated gran pays tribute to little girl, 4, and mum after they were killed in crash by Audi ‘racing’ a… – The Sun

THE DEVASTATED gran of a mum and daughter killed in a crash has paid tribute to the pair in a heartbreaking post.
Justyna Hulboj, 27, and four-year-old Lena Czepczor were walking in the Sheepscar area of Leeds when an Audi mounted the pavement and smashed into a Jaguar dealership.
Police said the car had been travelling with a grey BMW 135i prior to the collision. It's understood they were racing.
Three people have now been arrested.
Horrified family members have paid tribute to the pair who were on their way to a nursery yesterday.
The gran said: "Expressions of compassion to my daughter and granddaughter, may the Lord grant them eternal rest."
Another relative said: "My sparkle is out with her beautiful mother. You will remain in my heart."
Many have left flowers, teddies and candles at the scene.
A handwritten note placed there says: "Heaven gained two angels. Two beautiful souls taken so tragically.
"May you both fly free in eternal love. You will both be missed. Sleep tight."
Another message reads: "Dearest family. I am very sorry for your. Love and prayers are with you."
Social media was also flooded with heartfelt messages.
One person said on Facebook: "Very heart breaking.
"The little girl goes to my daughter's school and sometimes she goes to breakfast club [with her]. She has been so sad about this."
While a second wrote: "Life can be so cruel. RIP you beautiful souls."
Emergency services rushed to the scene on the A61 Scott Hall Road at around 8.30am.
West Yorkshire Police found a white Audi TT crashed into a concrete wall and two pedestrians suffering injuries.
Both were pronounced dead a short time later, a force spokesperson said.
The driver was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Distraught families last night told how their children had watched the horror unfold.
One parent said: "My son witnessed it waiting for the bus to school.
"He's shaken up. I managed to go pick him up before the road was closed and brought him home.
"Just seeing the state of the car made me feel uneasy so can’t begin to imagine what it’s done to him seeing it."
A traffic officer told shocked onlookers it was the worst scene he had ever attended.
A witness said: "The entire front of the Audi is missing. The mother and child were pedestrians crossing the road.
"The driver was at the lights revving. He set off and 200 yards down the road he struck the two people on the pavement."
Meanwhile a tyre fitter who works nearby said: "I heard the Audi TT revving his engine at the red lights.
"Then he flew off down the road. I could see the driver at the wheel.
"I did not see the crash. But then all hell broke loose."
Residents described how the A-road is used as a "racing track" by speeding drivers who hurtle down it past the limit.
Cops are investigating if this is relevant in this case.
Two men, 26 and 34, were arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. Both remain in custody.
A 65-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender. She has been released on bail.
Detective Inspector Paul Conroy said: "This is an absolutely tragic incident, and we are working to support the family of the woman and child involved.
"We have already spoken to a number of witnesses but are keen to speak to anyone else who has witnessed the collision itself or the events leading up to it.
"We would also ask anyone who was in the area around the time of this collision to check their dashcam footage."
Anyone with information is asked to contact the Major Collision Enquiry Team by using 101 Live Chat online or by calling 101, quoting log 260 of January 16.
A GoFundMe page has been set-up to raise money for the family.
