This year’s Global Knowledge 2020 IT Skills and Salary Report reflects the wealth of opportunities IT professionals have to boost their pay. Earning one or more certifications increases IT professionals’ earning potential and marketability significantly. The study also shows why it’s in an employers’ self-interest to pay for as much certification training as possible to close their skills gaps. Global Knowledge found that the loss in productivity due to skills gaps can equal 520 hours and $29,000 per employee.
