In a few words, Vitali Kremez was one of the most intelligent cybersecurity researchers who genuinely contributed to the field in a revolutionary manner.
Kremez, 36, grew up in Belarus and then moved to Connecticut, USA, where he continued his education while managing some side jobs.
Kremez’s continued struggle and efforts eventually transformed him into a prominent cybersecurity genius who practically stepped into this field as a cyber analyst for the Manhattan district attorney’s office. (He also shared a bit about himself, alongside his findings and analyses, on his website.) In 2019, he joined SentinelOne as the founding member of the firm’s threat intelligence team SentinelLabs.
The researcher didn’t limit his skills to malware analyses only. Instead, he had a curious soul that pushed him to track the threat actors with a deeper approach. He also developed Advanced Intelligence (AdvIntel) that actively tracks advanced threats like ransomware and botnet operations. He also remained keen on the ongoing cyberattacks, giving valuable inputs, like the BlackMatter ransomware campaign, PwndLocker ransomware campaign, the Ako ransomware analysis, and the Clop ransomware.
Team Latest Hacking News also expresses its deepest condolences to Kremez’s dear ones. Undoubtedly, Vitali Kremez is a personality whose untimely demise makes us realize what “gone too soon” means!
Rest in Peace
