While the Colorado Buffaloes remain the worst Power Five college football team in this week’s USA TODAY Sports NCAA Re-Rank, they are trending in the right direction after a 20-13 overtime win against Cal on Saturday.
Interim head coach Mike Sanford’s Buffs were ranked No. 127 heading into the week, but their first victory of the season now has them No. 120 out of the 131 Division I teams. Subsequently, Cal’s loss brought the Bears down 33 spots to No. 83, marking the biggest drop for any team.
We’ll see if the Buffs can continue to make up ground this week at Oregon State.
