Australian tourist slams ‘ridiculous’ rule for UK public toilets which left him baffled… – The Sun

AN Australian tourist has slammed a 'ridiculous' rule for public toilets in the UK.
The tourist has posted on TikTok his experience while visiting the Waverley Mall in Edinburgh, Scotland.
The TikToker was left fuming after he discovered he had to pay to use the turnstiles to enter the toilets.
He shared a clip of himself at the gate while a member of staff can be seen watching him in the background.
He said: "What. So you're telling me you have to pay with your credit card to go the toilet now, and if you don't it just beeps like that. That's ridiculous."
He then can be seen trying to enter through the exit as he says: "What happens if you go this way, it beeps again, that's crazy.
"Thirty pence no thanks, I'll just urinate in the street thank you very much."

His video divided opinion among TikTokers with some siding with him while others disagreed
One said: "30p to go toilet whats wrong with some people."
Someone wrote: "good idea at least they will be clean."
Another one said: "I remember paying in other countries too! And it used to be the case in Perth city!"
One added: "Should be free in retail areas, but would be happy to pay at public facilities like train stations if that meant they were kept clean."
