The Three Lions announced with a statement on November 30 that White was leaving the camp in Qatar due to personal reasons.
According to the Daily Star, the defender was struggling to fully integrate into the squad off the pitch.
The England international – who revealed before the tournament that he didn't watch football while growing up and still doesn't today – and Holland reportedly got into an argument in front of the rest of the squad after mounting tensions.
The trouble with White allegedly boiled to a head when the Arsenal ace arrived for a team meeting before the bore draw with USA not knowing vital statistics relating to his own performances in training.
Holland is also believed to have felt let down by the 25-year-old’s lack of knowledge on the strengths of their upcoming American opponents.

But Southgate White left Qatar due to "personal reasons" as he said: "As far as I am aware the article used words like alleged so whoever wrote it did not feel strongly enough it was correct.
"Ben left for personal reasons, we made that very clear. And in this day and age it is important a situation like this is respected."
