Alabama falls outside top 5 in latest USA TODAY Sports Coaches Poll – Roll Tide Wire

The latest USA TODAY Sports Coaches Poll has been revealed and Alabama no longer resides inside the top five. After entering Week 7 as the top-ranked team in the nation, the Crimson Tide are No. 6.
Suffering a close loss to Tennessee was enough to have the Volunteers jump Alabama and comfortably slide into the top four teams.
There’s plenty of time left in the 2022 regular season for big changes to be made. It’s an uphill battle for the Crimson Tide now. It will be interesting to see how Saban and the team respond to this adversity.
Here is the updated USA TODAY Sports Coaches Poll following the results of Week 7:
Drop outs:
No. 20 Kansas; No. 23 Baylor.
Receiving some votes:
Louisiana State 51; Central Florida 33; Kansas 30; South Carolina 24; Purdue 23; Maryland 15; Liberty 12; Washington 9; Baylor 7; Coastal Carolina 5; Pittsburgh 4; South Alabama 3; Arkansas 3; Texas-San Antonio 1.
