Syracuse, N.Y. — The leaders of New York high school sports are looking to give schools more power to eject unruly fans from games.
High school games have been plagued by verbal and physical abuse by parents and fans ― aimed at referees, coaches and players. The bad behavior has chased away referees, contributing to a widespread shortage of officials.
