Channel 4 A Place in the Sun buyers have broken down in tears during an emotional episode of the property favourite. The guests on the show were left upset and choking back tears – as they explained the heartbreaking reason for moving to Spain.
Louise and Chris were hoping to find their perfect holiday home in Manilva in southern Spain. Presenter Danni Menzies showed the duo around the homes in the episode.
The couple were armed with £120k as their budget, as they attempted to land a property abroad. During the final and fifth showing from Danni, the pair seemed enthused.

Chris explained: “I can see myself sitting here with a glass of wine.” And Louise was seen visibly upset as Danni rushed to console her and check she was OK.
Laura said: “It is just the reality of getting our dream, isn’t it? And look at it.” Chris said: “There have been a lot of things we put on hold and as we mentioned earlier we’ve had a lot going on this year. And if we tick this off the list, this would be a great start to our future.”
Sadly, the duo would not get the property. They loved it so much they felt compelled to offer for it – but unfortunately the offer came in below the asking price and was rebuffed by the owners.
The couple decided the fifth home of the search was their favourite. Danni branded the hunt a “rollercoaster” and was optimistic when the two-bed apartment left Louise crying happy tears.
The home was priced at just over £129,000 on the search and the couple decided they would put in an offer. But they were forced to walk away when the owners wouldn’t accept less than the asking. A Place in the Sun continues on Channel 4.
