The king wasn’t at the Balmoral residence anymore once Harry arrived that night.
A recent report by The Sun stated that that Prince Harry had snubbed his father, King Charles III over an alleged invitation to dinner, due to his wife Meghan Markle apparently being banned from the royal family gathering at the Balmoral Castle.
But it is now being reported by PageSix that such invitation never existed, and that once Prince Harry arrived to Balmoral that night, the King and Prince William had already left for their private residence, according to palace sources cited by the outlet.
Even though we now know that this King’s invitation wasn’t declined by Prince Harry, due to it never existing, that doesn’t mean that Harry and Meghan Markle didn’t struggled during several of their encounters with the Royal Family during Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral services.
The couple was invited and then uninvited to a state reception organized by the Royal Family for the world and foreign leaders that attended the queen’s funeral last week.
In Prince Harry’s first public statement after his grandmother’s passing, he dedicated a heartfelt message for her.
“Granny, while this final parting brings us great sadness, I am forever grateful for all of our first meetings – from my earliest childhood memories with you, to meeting you for the first time as my commander-in-chief, to the first moment you met my darling wife and hugged your beloved great-grandchildren.”
He then went on to say that she was already sorely missed, adding that he cherishes all the times he shared with her and the many other special moments that happened in between.
