Still, though, prices are far from being what they were in 2020 and in 2021, meaning that individuals and families are still having to shop around in order to find the best gas prices.

The highest average gas price in America today is in California, as has been the case for a very long time. The average cost is 6.246 dollars per gallon, cheaper than yesterday.
The cheapest state for gas on average today is Georgia in the deep south. The southern states have remained the cheapest for gas and the average price there is 3.266 dollars per gallon.
