The Strokes have been announced as headliners at All Points East as the music festival returns to Victoria Park over two August weekends.
The influential American indie rockers have notched up six UK top ten albums and a clutch of BRIT and Grammy awards since arriving on the scene in 2001.
They top a rosta of music talent on Friday August 25 including New York contemporaries Yeah Yeah Yeahs, singer songwriter, Angel Olsen, Hot Wax, Julie, Mercury Prize nominees Black Midi, Girl in Red, and Australian punks Amyl and the Sniffers.
Tickets go on sale on at 10am on January 27 with headliners for other days to be announced. Already confirmed, South London rapper Stormzy headlines and curates his own line-up for APE’s ‘this is what we mean’ day on August 18.
Luno Presents All Points East runs over two weekends in August and includes popular free community event In The Neighbourhood. Run in collaboration with Tower Hamlets Council activities and entertainment offered by local businesses and organisations range from yoga sessions and film screenings to drag shows.
