PDF, 11.6 MB, 136 pages
The Department for Digital, Culture, Media & Sport (DCMS) commissioned 4GLOBAL to produce this needs assessment with support from The Sport Industry Research Centre (SIRC) at Sheffield Hallam University and The Sports Consultancy.
The report aims to provide DCMS and key partners in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland with a snapshot of the demand for, and supply of, football and multi-sport facilities in each home nation.
It focuses on grassroots football facilities — grass pitches and artificial grass pitches (AGPs) and aims to build a picture of demand and supply. The report also considers the usage of the non-football sports across Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales, and uses a supply-demand model to assess the facility requirements to meet local need.
