Firebombers target daughter of one of Scotland’s richest men in horror attack… – The Scottish Sun

THE daughter of one of Scotland’s richest men has been targeted in a horror car firebomb attack.
Jennifer McLeish, 36, was left terrified when thugs drove a car to her gate before setting it alight and fleeing.
It comes after the mum – whose dad is railway maintenance tycoon Alan McLeish – saw her house in Bothwell, near Glasgow, previously attacked.
The recent blaze took place on Saturday evening and is understood to be linked to an ongoing feud between Jennifer’s partner and a gangster.
Last night one local said: “I was watching Dad’s Army on TV when these cars shot up the street.
"I think there were two at least. A load of guys got out and there was a lot of shouting, they had Glaswegian accents.
“The next thing one of the cars they’d driven was on fire right next to the house.
“I’m not sure if they used petrol but I think they must have as it started really quickly. The fence went up in flames too.
“The men then got back into another car and were away up the road.
“I don’t know the lassie but someone said she was alone in the house. She must be pretty shaken up.”
Firefighters arrived quickly on the scene to put out the flames leaving a burnt out Volvo shell.
Cops were also seen gathering evidence and taking photographs of the crime scene.
The motor had two different number plates and cops are attempting to trace the owner.
The blaze had also spread to the fence of her neighbour, ex-Celtic star Leigh Griffiths, 32.
But the incident is understood to have nothing to do with him.
The former Scotland ace is attempting to flog his house and had slashed £25,000 off the asking price before Saturday’s incident.
The destroyed motor was no longer at the scene yesterday morning but scorch marks could still be seen on the road.
A man who answered the door of the property said: “I don’t know anything about it.”
In 2020 Jennifer’s Range Rover was blown up by a petrol bomb, which also set fire to the roof of the £500,000 home.
Her beauty salon in Glasgow’s Dennistoun was also ram-raided just weeks later.
The feud is understood to have seen the gangland hood needing 250 stitches after being slashed by Jennifer's partner in a Glasgow nightspot last year.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We were called around 7.45pm on Saturday, 7 January, to a report of a fire at a property in the Bellshill Road area of Bothwell.
“The fire was put out by the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service and no one was injured.
“Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.”
McLeish, 62, sold QTS – based in Strathaven, Lanarkshire – for £80million in 2018 after starting the business with the help of a £300 loan from his mum Anne.
Jennifer’s step-mum Phyllis, who split from Alan four years ago, is on the board at Kilmarnock FC.
