THE body of a teenage soldier was found in his barracks SIX days after he was last seen.
The 19-year-old private reported feeling unwell on November 6 and was told to go to his room before visiting the medical centre the next day.
But his comrades left and realised he had died until his body was found on November 12.
Now, Army chiefs are braced for the findings of a report into the death at the Royal Artillery Barracks, Woolwich, South-East London.
Police say his death is unexplained.
A source said: “This is a shocking event. How did it take so long to realise where he was?
“It raises some very serious questions surrounding welfare.”
The Army declined to comment while a coroner was still investigating.
