Michelle Mone charities cut ties with bra tycoon over £29million PPE deal… – The Scottish Sun

CHARITIES are distancing themselves from Michelle Mone and her husband amid a crime probe over £200million PPE contracts.
We told how Lady Mone has been under investigation over alleged links to PPE Medpro, which was handed multi-million contracts from the UK Department of Health in 2020.
Baroness Mone is accused of secretly receiving £29million by lobbying for the firm.
International agency ActionAid has now said it will not accept any further donations from the Barrowman Foundation, which was founded by Mone’s husband Doug Barrowman, reports The Times.
The Prince’s Trust and the Royal Marsden Cancer Charity also said they had no plans to receive any donations from Barrowman or Mone.
Isle of Man-based PPE Medpro and a UK subsidiary were formed in May 2020.
This was just weeks before being awarded contracts to supply 25 million sterile gowns and masks.
The gowns were never used by the NHS after being rejected following an inspection.
Earlier this year, Lady Mone's home was raided by officers from the National Crime Agency (NCA).
Glasgow-born Lady Mone, who made her fortune by setting up a lingerie business, has denied any wrongdoing.
The bra tycoon was made a peer by David Cameron in 2015, has a £25m estate on the Isle of Man, as well as having a Belgravia home.
In January, it emerged she had been referred to the House of Lords Commissioners for Standards.
Mone told her 350k Twitter followers: "Don't believe everything you read, or everything you think."
