STONEHENGE is seen in a new light as the sun finally comes out after a week of storms and downpours.
The 5,000-year-old Wiltshire landmark was lit up by a rainbow in a hint of brighter times ahead.
Forecasters predict a dry week and mild temperatures by Saturday.
The county is expected to have no rain in the week ahead.
English Heritage tweeted: “A rainbow can brighten up even the darkest of days.”
Meanwhile, Brits were today experiencing travel chaos after thunderstorms batter Britain – but sunshine and 15C temperatures were on the way.
The Met Office said much of the UK would see a much drier and milder end to the week.
However, next week is expected to start on a livelier note.
Met Office Forecaster Alex Deakin said “For many, the second half of the week looks a lot drier than the first half of the week, but the winds coming up from the southwest bringing mild air as well as some strong gusts, especially over parts of northern England, Scotland and Northern Ireland”
“The main focus will be the temperatures overnight. Temperatures of 13 or 14 Celsius Thursday and into Friday, bring the potential for some records to be broken in Northern Ireland and Scotland. ”
