VALLEJO — Touro University California has been ranked second among colleges in the state for osteopathic medicine.
U.S. News & World Report’s Best Colleges for 2022 ranks Touro’s division 12th nationally, Touro reported in a press release.
“The U.S. News rankings evaluates more than 160 medical schools nationally,” the press release stated.
The college of Osteopathic Medicine also ranked second in California in graduates practicing in rural areas and 55th nationally in this same category, Touro reported.
Touro’s Physician Assistant program ranked third in California and 26th nationally among 1,170 schools evaluated.
The Physician Assistant program “is the only joint program in the nation, meaning all . . . graduates also simultaneously earn a master’s in public health,” Touro stated.
